Victoria 504 (Pucovski 243, Short 80, Stoinis 4-73) won Western Australia 208 (Stoinis 80, Tremain 4-37) and 251 (Philippe 104, Inglis 69, Tremain 5 -100) for a turn and 45 runs
Sheffield Shield's best wicket player last season Chris Tremain resumed where he left off, claiming nine in Victoria's tickets, the demolition of Western Australia on the WACA grounds.
The march towards Victoria's victory was stopped due to heavy rains on the third day. But even though Josh Philippe stung the sunny loneliness of the Shield Century, the game was over before lunch on the 4th.
Philippe and Cameron Green joined 78 races for the seventh window to thwart Victoria. Philippe added 17 to his night score to reach his century before dropping Scott Boland to 104 from 142 balls.
Green watched helplessly from the end of the non-attacker as Boland and then knocked down Usman Qadir and David Moody in search of ducks before Tremain caught Simon. Simon Mackin on the front for nothing to complete his sixth five-window tour in first-class cricket. Green finished with 35, not out.
Will Pucovski was named Player of the Match for his impressive 243.
