Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen may have a "chronic" stomach injury, according to Denmark coach Age Hareide.
Eriksen has not participated in the last four games of the Spurs in all competitions, but Hareide has called for the Nations on Saturday League game against the Republic of Ireland and a friendly with Austria three days later.
The midfielder is unlikely to play against Ireland, but he will be given the opportunity to prove his fitness for the meeting with Austria, although Hareide admits he does not know how long Eriksen could be left out.
"Such an injury can be chronic, and it's true that Tottenham also fears that," Hareide told Channel 9.
"It's doubtful that we'll lure him to Dublin and have him play. I do not think Tottenham is particularly interested in that ".
When asked if Eriksen was missing for weeks or months, he added: "I really do not know, you should ask our doctor." Eriksen has pl Yed seven times for Tottenham in all competitions this season, his only goal was against Inter in the Champions League.
