Alan Oakman, who had a distinguished career with Sussex as a SUV and played two tests for England, died at the age of 88.
Although his international career was brief, Oakman appeared in one of the most famous tests. matches when Jim Laker took 19 wickets against Australia, at Old Trafford, in 1956.
A renowned outfielder, Oakman collected five receptions around the game during the Lakers' record.
Oakman was an off-bowling bowler, scoring 21,800 first-class runs and claiming 736 fields.
In 1970 he became Warwickshire's coach and was in charge of his 1972 County Championship title before moving on to an off-field role as Assistant Secretary for Cricket Administration.
remained an active cricketer in his late 60s, making appearances for the Warwickshire side over 50 years.
