Second India-West Indies ODI could be shifted away from Indore

The second ODI between India and the West Indies, scheduled for October 24, could be displaced from Indore. This is the potential result of a dispute over the courtesy ticket allocation between the BCCI and the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA).

The disagreement refers to the block of the pavilion of the Holkar stadium, which according to the MPCA has a capacity of "about 7200 seats". By reading the state association of the new constitution of the BCCI, the provision of complementary tickets can not exceed 10% "of each category", which in the case of the block of the pavilion would be 720.

The MPCA, however , has alleged that the BCCI asked for "about 1300" courtesy tickets in the flag block, "for various sections of BCCI stakeholders as sponsors, teams, BCCI members, BCCI subcommittee, etc."

"The MPCA management committee has decided that it is not possible to organize the second ODI between India and the West Indies in Indore if the BCCI does not retract its demand for courtesy tickets. the deputy secretary of the MCA Milind Kanmadikar to PTI on Sunday.

According to the MPCA, the BCCI has repeatedly delayed the response to its requests for clarification of the problem and, therefore, has left very little time to organize the game, and has no choice but to leave.

"In the end, we clarified once again, our intention was always to organize the game and we were forced to land in a situation in which the remaining time for the match would have given rise to several circumstantial difficulties by which the Host Association would have been unfairly held responsible, "states the MPCA said. "Such a large risk is not worth it in view of the excessive delay on the part of the BCCI in expanding clarification and making fair decisions."

"Unilateral, arbitrary, mysterious and deliberate decision making and work BCCI has caused so much loss to the Association and local fans of our state's cricket. "

The BCCI has not yet responded to ESPNcricinfo's request for a statement on the subject.
