The BCB will decide within one or two days if Shakib Al Hasan will be able to play in the EA20 T20x this year. Shakib requested an NOC on December 23 and January 1 to participate in the T20 tournament in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
"He [Shakib] has requested the NOC for the T20 tournament, but has not yet been decided," said Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB media committee. "It will be taken in one or two days."
Shakib is recovering from a long finger injury, which worsened due to an infection during the Asian Cup last month. He underwent an emergency operation in Dhaka before going to Australia for an additional check-up. He returned to Bangladesh last week and said his participation in competitive cricket largely depended on the speed with which the infection was eliminated, suggesting he might be back in the local series of Bangladesh against the West Indies. On Sunday, BCB head Nazmul Hassan planned the Cup and asked that all injured players, including Shakib and Tamim Iqbal, be treated with more caution before next year's tournament in England.
He is going to play against the West Indies at home, he has to be approved by mid-November.
