Umesh Yadav runs through West Indies lower order

Innings West Indies 311 (Chase 106, Holder 52, Umesh 6-88, Kuldeep 3-85) v India

India fast bowler Umesh Yadav commented how he remained positive despite knowing that pressure exerted on India's attack after losing a man due to injury

Umesh Yadav ran through the last three fields in half an hour to undo all the hard work done by Roston Chase, who scored the first century for a West Indian hitter in India since Darren Bravo in 2011.

Umesh continued with his modus operandi of attacking the stumps to record his best figures of bowling, 6 by 88. It was his second five in Test cricket, and the first tour of six or more windows by a fast Indian bowler at home since 1999. Umesh will also be in a hat-trick in the second innings , having fired Chase and Shannon G abriel with successive deliveries to end the entrances of the West Indies

Umesh began the day with a dismissal of Devendra Bishoo. Chase, which started on day 98, climbed a hundred, but could not negotiate one that would pass through its inner edge and fall on the stumps. Umesh then threw a bun at the weird straggler to get away from Gabriel. Four of its six victims were shot down or lbw. The West Indies could add only 16 to its 295 at night for 7.
