Eleven internationals from New Zealand, including captain Kane Williamson, fast bowlers Tim Southee and Trent Boult and senior batter Ross Taylor are available to play for their respective national teams in the first round of Plunket Shield starting at October 10th. Some of these players are available for the second round as well, but not all, with the complete New Zealand series against Pakistan in the UAE starting on October 31.
Southee's availability is subject to him assessing a knee problem.
Nine international players, including Adam Milne, Colin de Grandhomme and Martin Guptill are available for the second round next week. Ish Sodhi, Neil Wagner, Jeet Raval, Matt Henry, Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls are available players for both rounds of matches.
These two rounds will end on October 20, before the teams switch to white ball mode for the nationals. 50-over the Ford trophy. The four days will resume on December 6 during two rounds, and the last four will be played in February and March 2019 after Super Smash, the national tournament T20.
