Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas admitted that the LaLiga giants miss Cristiano Ronaldo after his goalless career continued on Tuesday.
Madrid suffered a 1-0 loss to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League, extending their goalless and goalless streak to three matches.
Ronaldo left Madrid for Juventus in July, after scoring at an incredible pace at the club, including 44 times last season.
While Navas is willing to move on from the Portuguese superstar, he said his team had a big hole to fill after Ronaldo's departure.
"Cristiano left the bar very high at Real Madrid," he said. "You can not cover the sun with a finger."
"He made many goals while he was here, but it is already past and we can not live in the past."
Nikola Vlasic's second minute goal was enough for him CSKA, which was placed in four points and led Group G.
It was the first time since 2007 that Madrid failed to score in three consecutive games, while hitting the wood three times in Russia.
Navas said: " We are sad because they had an opportunity and they took advantage of it.
"We had some stellar chances, but we could not make it In every game you want to score goals and we had some chances to do it We had bad luck
" We want to start scoring again in the next games "
] Madrid will have the opportunity to return to winning ways when visiting Deportivo Alaves on Saturday.
